Here is the wish we received:
Dear Bianca’s Kids,
Hey! My baby brother Daniel just turned 11. He's a great kid, but life hasn't been the easiest for him. When I was 13 and he was 1, us and our other two siblings were removed from our home and placed in temporary foster care because (deleted for confidentiality purposes). We all returned home, but the environment is highly stressful, as our entire family struggles with (deleted for confidentiality purposes). Daniel is also on the spectrum, and struggles with the same sensory processing issues I do.
I have several wishes for Daniel, some more practical for his physical needs, and some are just nice things I wish I could get him. Whenever he visits my apartment, he loves to snuggle under my weighted blanket, and I would love for Daniel to be able to have one of his own. Another thing I think that would be beneficial is a pair of noise canceling headphones. He uses video games and YouTube as an escape when things are crazy at home, but with his current pair of headphones, loud noises get through very easily. These would also be helpful for when he is getting overstimulated, in order to block out sound while in public environments. One of his autistic special interests is Pokemon. I recently gifted him my old Nintendo DSi, but didn't have any Pokemon games to give him, so any Pokemon games that are compatible with a DSi would be awesome.
I want the world for this kid, and I do what I can to give it to him, even though I'm not in the best situation myself. When I discovered this organization, I thought I'd take a shot at trying to get him things he could benefit from that I'm not currently able to get him. Thank you so much.
Mitchell, we couldn’t love this wish more. Your love for your brother is evident. We are thrilled to grant this whisk for you with EVERYTHING you wished for for Daniel. We have ordered a 25 lb weighted blanket, a set of noise cancelling headphones and 2 awesome Pokémon games for your brothers DSi game which Will be delivered to your door within the next few days. Keep being the champion you are for your little brother. The world could use a few more Mitchells.
