Here’s the wish we received:
Dear Bianca’s Kids,
Payton is a 5yo little boy with many medical conditions. He has epilepsy and suffers daily seizures, along with side affects from medications. He has developmental delay, is fed through a feeding tube (gtube), has an immune deficiency so often and easily catches illness. Unfortunately it's harder for him than a typical kid to fight each illness off. He does suffer anxiety and sensory processing disorder from everything he has been through. He has had countless hospital stays along with being under anesthesia 16 times now in his short 5 years. He doesnt get to do a lot of extra things because I'm a single parent. Even with everything he has been through and continues to go through he still keeps a big smile on his face and brightens a room.
Payton has wanted to be a police officer since he was 2 and absolutely loves them and lights up each time he sees them. Unfortunately with his medical issues he most likely will not be able to actually be a police officer when he grows up so his wish is to get to "be a police officer for a day" and hang out with an officer. He walks around with his little police badge and police vest on daily telling everyone he will be a police officer when he grows up.
Courtney, we are thrilled to advise that Payton is going to be an officer for a day thanks to our friend Chief Empey of the Jordan, MN Police Department. Chief Empey & his officers are taking you and Payton to lunch, followed by a tour of the department and finally a ride-along for Payton in a police cruiser. Payton is going to love it. Oh! We also bought Payton an awesome police uniform. Gotta be dressed for the job.
