WISH GRANTED FOR LITTLE GIRL WITH BIRTH DEFECTS SO SHE CAN ENJOY A LITTLE WIND IN HER HAIR

Dear BK,
My daughter, Avery, is 6 years old. She is an absolute joy!! She was born with several birth defects. One of those is called Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum. She is missing the entire nerve pathway is her brain. This has affected her coordination and safety awareness. She has been in PT and OT since she was an infant. She also was born with some defects in her eyes. She does not have much vision out of her right eye. This also affects depth perception.
With all things considered, this makes going our for family bike rides near impossible. Avery has recently been acting out more and I have a feeling it is due to the restrictions in place due to the covid 19 mandates. We would love to be able to get out of the house and get some fresh air…where it can be enjoyable for all. I have been researching what our options are and have found something called the Weehoo Igo. It is a seat that attaches to an adults bike that has a cover and pedals to push just as if she were on her own bike. I think this would be an amazing addition to our family and give Avery so many opportunities. She could learn the function of pedaling, get out of the house, see the world, all while maintaining safety behind one of her parents. Unfortunately our budget does not allow us to make such a purchase especially since we have gone down to one income during the global pandemic. I appreciate this opportunity and love that there are things available like this to so many in need.
Thank you again!
Janelle
And here they are enjoying a bike ride!
