Here is the heartwarming wish we received via our website:

To The Bianca's Kids Foundation,
I am the sole caregiver for my young son. He has been diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and a Learning Disability (LD), specifically, Mixed Expressive-Receptive Language Disorder. I have spent many years providing complex emotional care for my whole family, while working and volunteering in the community.

Not long ago, Mihail and I lost supportive people in our lives. Mihail’s grandparents, my parents, both recently passed, after long battle with Cancer and Alzheimer’s.

The most recent and deeply devastating event is the untimely death of my husband-his father, due to a horrible car accident. My son is taking these losses very hard, because children with Autism have a very hard time to process great loss, such is the loss of complete family. Now, added to his doctor’s appointments and therapies we are attending grief therapy for losing the only family we ever had, and only support system we could count on to have in our lives.

It saddens me to admit that I do need your help. I am a resourceful and tenacious person who has worked for many years to accomplish physical and emotional safety for my whole family despite countless heartbreaks and extreme barriers. I am fiercely committed and deeply devoted to my inspiring child. My son is one very sweet, bright, sparkly, and spirited child.

Please accept this letter, for my son’s wish, for the iPod-touch, aid that he had always wish for, because music is a miracle that make all his sensory issues fade away and disappear. “Music promote relatedness, relaxation, learning and self-expression, according to new scientific research all individuals with ASD respond positively to music. It provides a bridge in a non-threatening way between people and/or between individuals and their environment, facilitating relationships, learning self-expression, and communication. Music captures and helps maintain attention, and is highly motivating and can be used as natural reinforce for desired response, combined with noise canceling headphones.” I cannot afford either one item.

I always dreamt to buy an iPod-touch for him to help him to relax and enjoy, especially for the school bus for his sensory issues, but I was never able to afford it due to unfortunate family circumstances and very limited resources.
I hope that you would be able to provide help for my son, as this IPod can change outcome of life for my son. I would be eternally grateful if you can find him a candidate worthy of assistance.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Respectfully,
Jelena Z. Dion

Jelena,
Please accept our condolences on all your recent and devistating losses. We are more than happy to grant this simple wish for you and Mahail. He is beyond a worthy candidate of this small Christmas blessing. An Ipod touch with ALL accessories is on its way to your house.

Merry Christmas to you and Mahail. You remain in our prayers.
