This is my daughter Sara. She is 17 years old. She has worn hearing aids since she was 10 years old. That all is changing suddenly as she is now profoundly deaf in her left ear we have just found out and severely in her right. We have been referred to Cincinnati Children's Hospital which is a 4 hour drive one way. They say she needs a cochlear implant on at least the left side possibly the right. She is dealing with this rather well for the most part.
Her wish is to get a new bedset (comforter, sheets, firm pillows, pillowcases) and a set of button up pajamas for when she has her surgery for the cochlear.
Dear Amanda, new PJ's and a bedset are on their way to Sara. Wishing her good luck on her surgery. We will be praying for her. Happy holidays from Bianca's Kids!
Here's the wish we received through our website:
Dear Bianca's Kids,
My wish is to be able to get my son, with an Autism diagnosis, a weighted blanket. He is almost 3 years old and still does not sleep through the night. When we do manage to get at the most 4 consistent hours out of him, he has several pillows and blankets on top of him weighing him down. We would appreciate it.
Amanda, as we know that sleep is imperative to a child's development & Draven is darn cute when he's sleeping, we have a weighted blanket on its way to you. 😄 Happy holidays from Bianca's Kids!
Hello. My name is Carol. I would like to submit a wish for my two daughters, grand daughter and grandson. My daughter, Ashley, is a single mother of a 5 year old little girl living on her own. She has been having a difficult time the past few years. She is a waitress and if she misses a few days it becomes an issue. The servers make only $2.13 and hour and have no sick time. It is hard for her to save just in case of emergencies living pay check to pay check. My daughter would give the shirt off her back to someone in need and has helped people in the past that really needed a little bit of hope. My other daughter, Stephanie, is a single mother of a 2 year old little boy and is also struggling. She wont be able to get him much this Christmas. I know you get lots of wishes submitted daily but I cannot help my girls right now because my husband and I are not in the position to be able to and are struggling ourselves. It kills me to see them having such a hard time. Ashley has told me she isn't looking forward to Christmas this year because she is worried there wont be gifts under the tree for Emerie. My wish is to help my daughters get gifts for my grand children this Christmas.
Carol, your Xmas wish is granted! We are sending checks to both your daughters for Christmas shopping for their kids. Happy holidays from Bianca's Kids!
We received a call for help for an 18-year-old senior at a local South Jersey high school. This young man had lost his mother a month prior and his father had recently been placed in a nursing home. Given his age and situation, his name shall remain confidential.
While he was living an apartment that his dad was able to set him up for him, which was being paid for by his father social security benefits, this young man was in crisis. He needed a lot of help. He didn’t have a driver’s license yet and was forced to drive his back to/from school and to/from work which was 12 miles away. His work hours were from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. All this while trying to keep up with the demands of his senior year of school. He was in need of clothing, food and various other basic needs.
In just 24 hours, we were able to raise nearly $500 from our giving supporters. Bianca's Kids matched that number and on Monday November 7, 2016, we were able to cut a check to our teen for $1000.00 for overdue bills. That money brought his bills up to date.
As he does not have his driver’s license yet, we offered to pay for driving lessons and to take him to get his license when the time came. We offered him a driver in the interim to take him to far away appointments. His guidance counselor asked us for help in providing him an incentive to finish school and continue to graduate in June. So, Bianca’s Kids gave him a big one. We offered him the incentive that if he stays on track & graduates in June, we will be buying him a car of his own.
We offered our teen free college prep courses, a brand-new wardrobe, help obtaining a new job closer to home and various gift cards to help him along the way.
Between the help and assistance we offered him, along with the help his school district is providing him, we are confident this young man is going to be just fine.

Dear Bianca's Kids,
My wish is for my son Logan to have a kids' kindle or any tablet of his own to use for his entertainment and therapy applications daily. He just celebrated his 3rd birthday, and unfortunately we just don't have the funds to provide one this year.
We have one Kids' Kindle Fire on the way! We know that these tables are incredibly useful with therapy and other communication apps. We hope that it helps sweet Logan. :)
