Across my facebook newsfeed came this very picture of a beautiful cheerleader. Pompoms in hand and full of adorableness, her name was Andrea. My heart burst with joy when I saw her. Reading the post that accompanied the photo which was written by Andrea's proud mommy, it became clear that people on social media had hurtful things to say about Andrea's. My heart broke for this gorgeous little angel and her proud mom.
We reached out to Connie (Andrea's mom) and told her we wanted to grant a wish for Andrea. She told us Andrea would love some new clothes and we are going to provide her that. We are sending Andrea a gift card for $300 to go on a clothing shopping spree for herself. She deserves it.
Andrea, you couldn't be more beutiful. Enjoy your day shopping.
We received a wish for Aiden, an 11 year old boy from Williamstown, NJ who is battling Medulloblastoma, a form of brain cancer. Aiden relapsed in March of 2017. His medication is not working. (His parents do not want him or his brothers to know yet how bad it is, so please keep that in mind if/when talking to them or your own children). Time is precious for Aiden and he wants to spend it with his family.
Aiden’s wish is to go back to a vacation house the family once rented at the Long Beach Island. Bianca’s Kids teamed up with our partners at “Lead the Way” and raised enough money to pay for the house rental, meals for the whole family for the entire week and little extra spending cash. We wanted to be sure this vacation was the best ever for Aiden.
Thank you everyone who donated toward this wish. Special thanks to Scott Wyte for coordinating and facilitating Aiden’s wish. ️
Please keep Aiden & hhs family in your prayers.
A MILLION THANKS TO THE GREATEST SPORTS ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD - THE SUPER BOWL CHAMPION PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!!
This year we made several wishes come true for some awesome kids. Their struggles are all different but their wishes were all the same - to meet their sports idols, the Eagles.
Thanks the Eagles organization, we were able to do that in a big way in 2018. The Eagles rolled out the red carpet for our kids with a tented pavilion, all the assorted drinks and water ice the kids could eat, chicken fingers and crab fries from Chickie & Pete's and on and on. Plus, a meet and greet with ALL the super bowl champs. Our wish recipients enjoyed a day they wont soon forget.
This year's wish recipients consist of:
Anthony - 18-years -old and a professional tumbler who, after landing wrong on a tumble was left paraplegic. Anthony is now a public speaker who raises awareness for spinal cord injury and recovery.
Giovanni - 11-years-old. Giovanni is one of only 300 documented cases in the world with Schwartz Jample Syndrome. Giovanni is the adorable little fellow with the green and white hair in the photos. He was and is a true inspiration.
AJ - 7-years-old. AJ struggles from FOP which is commonly known as "Stone Man Syndrome." AJ had a complete ball! The smile never left his face.
Jevon - 14 years old and has type 1 diabetes. Jevon is a spokesperson for diabetes and helps school-aged children understand the dilemmas kids face who are afflicted with diabetes. This is an A-1 Eagles fan, so you can imaging how happy Jevon was when super bowl champ Corey Clement gave him his gloves!
Ben - 2-years-old and the sweetest foster baby you'll ever meet. Ben and his sister was recently adopted by his foster parents (seen in the photos with Ben) who are huge Eagles fans. We decided to make a huge wish come true for this awesome couple for taking two children out of the system and giving them a forever home. We brought them in from Virginia, put them up a beautiful hotel in Philly and provided them the opportunity to meet their favorite NFL team. Ben was hit with all the players.
Here is the wish we received via our website:
Dear Bianca’s Kids:
Nyah is an 11 year old girl who is sweet, caring, smart and funny. She currently resides with her single mother who works two jobs to try to make ends meet. Her mother has also moved in her father who is on dialysis. Nyah's grandfather also has both of his legs amputated requiring 24 hour care. Nyah along with her 12 year old brother assist. Nyah can be introverted and hides her feelings. At school, she has been teased. Nyah cut her hair to deal with her feelings.
I am requesting Bianca's Kids to help Nyah with braces as her mother's insurance does not cover. I'm pretty sure just mother would also be elated if you could assist.
In speaking to Nyah’s Godmother Ilisa we found out that Nyah’s smile embarrasses her. So, we called our friend Dr. Dan Bills at Innovative Orthodontics. Without hesitation, Dr. Bills agreed to gift Nyah s complete set of braces along with the pre and post care needed. Dr. Bills is a one in a million. We are blessed to know him and now, so is Nyah.
Julien is suffering from severe burns to his face and upper body after another 8 year old boy poured nail polish remover on him and set him on fire this past Monday. Julien is in a ton of pain and will need a number of skin grafts. His internal organs were also effected. Julien has a long and difficult road to recovery. This heartbreaking story is hard to believe but unfortunately true.
After speaking to Julien’s mom, we learned that he has many long, painful and boring treatments ahead of him. He wished for an
iPad to keep him busy during his long road to recover and we granted that wish today.
GET WELL SOON JULIEN. WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU BUDDY!
