![]() We received a wish for 16 yr old Kelly, a brilliant high school student who aspires to be an attorney. This young lady has faced incredible adversity with not one, but both her parents in prison. Yet, she presses forward and takes her studies seriously. Kelly’s hard work paid off as she was recently accepted to the National Leadership Law & Advocacy Program at Yale University this summer. Problem is, the program costs $3,500. There is simply no way Kelly could afford it. We started this organization for kids like Kelly. She deserves this opportunity like any other hardworking student and we are going to make sure she gets it. We are granting this wish by covering the entire cost of the program for Kelly. Have a great time Kelly!! You deserve it. (Names have been changed for confidentiality purposes)

![]() Sweet Zach has Cri Du Chat Syndrome (chromosomal abnormality). He is 4 but cannot walk independently. He has tibial torsion which makes it difficult to walk. He also has intellectual and developmental disabilities. Zach’s medical condition requires the help of his entire family. Here’s the wish we received: Dear BK, Zach is a very sweet and joyful little guy. His cuteness and joyful nature attract a lot of attention! He is the youngest of our 4 children (siblings are 11, 10 and 6) and he truly is a gift to our family! But he requires a lot of care and his siblings sometimes struggle with all the attention he gets from us, his parents. Zach cannot do much for himself. Intellectually and developmentally he is more like an older infant/ younger toddler. He cannot walk independently (but he can crawl and cruise!) We still bathe him, feed him, dress him, and carry him. He uses a wheelchair for transportation outside the home. He is mostly non-verbal. He depends on us for all of his care. So our wish is actually for Zach's siblings. We would like to take Zach's 3 siblings away for a weekend (2 days, 1 night) to Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA to be able to give them a weekend of much needed undivided attention, bonding, and fun! Having a large family makes it difficult to afford vacations so having this wish granted would be a huge blessing for our family! Thank you, Michelle (mom) We hear it all the time - Siblings often have to be overlooked when a special needs child is part of a family. We believed this family and siblings deserve this trip. That’s why we Granted this wish for them. Have fun sh Great Wolf Lodge kids! |
