This year we made several wishes come true for some awesome kids. Their struggles are all different but their wishes were all the same - to meet their sports idols, the Eagles.
Thanks the Eagles organization, we were able to do that in a big way in 2018. The Eagles rolled out the red carpet for our kids with a tented pavilion, all the assorted drinks and water ice the kids could eat, chicken fingers and crab fries from Chickie & Pete's and on and on. Plus, a meet and greet with ALL the super bowl champs. Our wish recipients enjoyed a day they wont soon forget. This year's wish recipients consist of: Anthony - 18-years -old and a professional tumbler who, after landing wrong on a tumble was left paraplegic. Anthony is now a public speaker who raises awareness for spinal cord injury and recovery. Giovanni - 11-years-old. Giovanni is one of only 300 documented cases in the world with Schwartz Jample Syndrome. Giovanni is the adorable little fellow with the green and white hair in the photos. He was and is a true inspiration. AJ - 7-years-old. AJ struggles from FOP which is commonly known as "Stone Man Syndrome." AJ had a complete ball! The smile never left his face. Jevon - 14 years old and has type 1 diabetes. Jevon is a spokesperson for diabetes and helps school-aged children understand the dilemmas kids face who are afflicted with diabetes. This is an A-1 Eagles fan, so you can imaging how happy Jevon was when super bowl champ Corey Clement gave him his gloves! Ben - 2-years-old and the sweetest foster baby you'll ever meet. Ben and his sister was recently adopted by his foster parents (seen in the photos with Ben) who are huge Eagles fans. We decided to make a huge wish come true for this awesome couple for taking two children out of the system and giving them a forever home. We brought them in from Virginia, put them up a beautiful hotel in Philly and provided them the opportunity to meet their favorite NFL team. Ben was hit with all the players.
