Dear Bianca' s Kids,
My son Reginald has only been on this earth for thirty five months and in those months he has had it pretty rough. We spent the first ten months of his life in Riley hospital for children in Indianapolis Indiana, where he was diagnosed with Hirschsprungs disease which entailed a slew of gastrointestinal surgeries to fix the issues furthermore because of those surgeries he lost 52cm of small intestin. By the time we left Riley he was 10months old with a colostomy bag and g-tube and a port device in his chest. Since then ,he has been in and out of the hospital due to various issues with the colostomy, dehydration, bowel obstructions etc.
I love to see him smile and happy because he goes through so much on a weekly basis. With bi weekly visits to the pediatrician for weight checks, daily irrigations and 22hour g-ube feeding regiments - I just want my baby to experience something really wonderful. Honestly, I do not care what you do for him please just give him something that will take his mind off of everything that he has experienced and is experiencing , that will keep him until he is whole again.
What is truly unreal is that with all your little guy goes through, he smiles like a champ. This pic stole our hearts!!! He's the cutest thing we've ever seen.
Now, as for his wish. Of course we're granting it. And what better way to make a 3 year old smile than a shopping spree at Toys-R-Us? Not only will he have fun picking out everything he wants, but he can bring his toys with him to the hospital to occupy him when he has to be there.
Have fun Reginald. Get well soon buddy!
