We received a wish from a local caseworker from the Division of Youth and Family Services. She stated the following:
Jason is one of seven children who was in foster care for four years. Jason was returned home to his mother in December, 2016. He is in desperate need of a laptop because his mom cannot afford one for him. Jason went from foster care to moving away from his friends and school. The family moved to another town in NJ where a computer or laptop is mandatory. The school has homework that can only be done at home with a computer. Jason wants to play baseball but as he has to stay after school to use the school's computers to do his homework, he misses out on that opportunity. Any help would be appreciated.
Dear Lorene, we dont know how any child can get through school today without a laptop. Jason deserves every resource and opportunity every other child has. Accordingly, your wish is granted! One shiny new laptop for Jason coming right up! Now, he can play baseball and do his homework from home.
