Dear Bianca's Kids,
I am a huge supporter and volunteer for your organization because I believe in what you do. This wish is a family I know that just lost their 6 yr old son in a horrific school bus accident. Edmond Bock was waiting for the school bus with his mom. He was walking in front of the bus and the driver did not see him. Edmond was hit and killed instantly IN FRONT OF HIS LOVING MOTHER'S EYES. The Bocks (Edmond's parents) are suffering such grief. In addition, this poor family is struggling with finances, funeral costs etc. If there is ANYTHING you can do to help our fellow community member, I would greatly appreciate it.
This letter was so painful. We had to do something, ANYTHING to help the Bocks. So we conducted an online fundraiser and matched the funds collected dollar for dollar. We provided the Bock's with a check for $500 to help with their financial burden.
A friend of mine suggested that I reach out to you due to our situation during this holiday season. I am looking for any help I can get even if it's just a suggestion. I know it's almost Christmas but I have tried so hard to come up with a way to provide for my 3 little girls and I am out of ideas. Last month we lost our house to sheriff sale and have exhausted all finances we had getting into another home in time for the holidays. On November 6th my five year old was rushed to DuPont hospital and diagnosed wit Leggs Calves Perthsis Disease in which she is unable to walk. I want nothing more than to give all three of my girls a wonderful Christmas because if anyone deserves it, they do after all we have been threw this last year. I have spent the last few weeks trying to come up with side jobs to provide them with a Christmas and I have had no luck. I had let my pride get in the way which has brought me to having next to nothing for them for Christmas. If you can suggest anywhere or any ideas on how I can get ANY help this close to Christmas I would greatly appreciate it as I am eight months pregnant and beyond stressed out. But if you can point me in any direction for help this Christmas for my 4,5,&8 year old daughters I would be beyond grateful as we have spent the last week just trying our hardest to keep it together so they don't know anything is wrong. Thanks for taking the time to read my message, and Happy Holidays.
GRANTED - GIFTS FOR ALL THE KIDS!
Dear Bianca's Kids,
There are several children that are homeless and living in a Cumberland County New Jersey homeless shelter this Christmas. I have an offer for you. If you would be willing to provide every child in the shelter with a nice Christmas gift, I would be willing to dress up like Santa on Christmas Eve and personally deliver them. No child should fear that Santa might not visit them and I know a lot of the kids at the shelter do.
Hey Carlos, I have an offer for YOU. If you would willing to dress up like Santa and give up your Christmas Eve to deliver the gifts to every child at a homeless shelter in Cumberland County, Bianca's Kids is willing to provide all the gifts.
SOUNDS LIKE WE HAVE A DEAL. WISH GRANTED!
A must read!!!
One of our board of directors, Meme, is an elementary school teacher. She is very active in her school and extremely conscientious of the welfare of all her school's precious students Recently, it came to Meme's attention that a 2nd grade student in her school who she adored is homeless. This child and her mother have been living in a shelter in Camden for the past 8 months. A few weeks ago, the child told Meme that all she wanted for Christmas was a home. Conversations between Meme and the child's mother ensued. The mother, who is a full time student trying to better her life, explained the struggles of being homeless, the scary feelings she deals with in having to be at school while her child is alone at the shelter and the numbers of homes she has found that state agencies had not approved for her over the 8 months she'd been homeless. Meme calls me and basically states the following "Deb, this child is an angel and I cannot have her and her mother living in a shelter any longer. We MUST FIND A WAY TO GET THEM A HOME BEFORE CHRISTMAS!" As difficult as this particular wish would be to fulfill, lets face it we would have to accomplish in 3 weeks what hadn't been accomplished in 8 months, my director's tenacity and unwillingness to accept no for an answer is exactly what makes her an awesome director of my board. And so it began. Meme, myself and Freeholder Doug Long (another director of BK) committed to doing every humanly possible to grant this week.
Now, if you've read any of our prior wishes/posts I'm going to ask you one important question...WHAT DO YOU THINK HAPPENS NEXT?

A Christmas miracle in the making. Joy rising people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WINNER OF OUR 2013 GRAND XMAS GIVEAWAY !!!(PHOTOGRAPHED HERE WITH HER ANGEL XARIA.
Tammy is the mother of 3 including her baby, 8 yr old Xaria who went to heaven in Oct, 2013. Xaria fought cancer for many yrs. This beautiful little girl suffered through so much in her young life but finally, a break! Xaria went into remission. Her family & friends were thrilled. Then, the unthinkable happened. Xaria passed suddenly as a result of an aneurism. On top of all this, Tammy was struggling financially and having a hard time providing Christmas for her two surviving children. This is a pain no mother should ever have to endure and due to all Tammy had suffered & lost, we were confident that no one deserved a Christmas blessing more than her.
Tammy was taken to Geets Diner in Williamstown for what she thought was to be a quiet dinner with her friend Joann (the wish maker). Shortly after Tammy settled into her booth, Bianca's Kids busted into the diner & surprised Tammy with the following:
A canvas of Xaria for Tammy's home
A framed photo of Tammy & Xaria
$25 gift card to Outback Steakhouse;
$25 gift card to Regal theaters
$50 gift card to Olive Garden
$100 Visa gift card
$100 Shoprite card
$100 Coastline gift card
A gift card for a color, cut a blow dry at a local salon;
11 wrap Christmas presents for Tammy and Xaria's siblings
And a check for $500 from Bianca's Kids!!!
Oh!!!! And for the wish maker Joann.... $25 giftcard for Regal Theater;
$50 Walmart giftcard
$100 check from Bianca's Kids.
It just doesn't get better than THAT folks. The tears were streaming all over this diner.
A huge thank you to the staff at Geet's Diner. They made the evening so special for Tammy.
A more appreciative and worthy recipient there could not be.
Dear Bianca's Kids:
I run a group called For the Love of Jersey and we do family adoptions every year. We formed post Hurricane to help with needs but we personally have been doing the holiday drive since I was a child through the Lion's Club. This year we are hoping to help 4 families with gifts and food.
I have a 6 year old girl in South River (Up by me in Middlesex County) who asked for a tree, lights and ornaments cause without them Santa won't know where she is. Her mom is disabled and I can personally and professionally vouch for the need.
Is there any way you can help us?
The tree and everything would be delivered in a pretty "magical" way where we do a ring and run complete with Santa glitter and boot prints and sleigh bells. When she opens the door she will know that Santa brought it for her.
Love your work and we support you all 100%. All kids deserve love and to know that Santa will come.
Much love, Jaime
Who could say "No: to this wish? A Christmas tree and all the trimmings were delivered to Jaime.
Hi my name is Candace and I am trying to find assistance to get my daughters (******* 5 & ***** 18 months) Christmas gifts. We are on one income right now, and my husbands hours have been cut back. My 5 year old is in special education and is being tested for autism. My 18 month old has had many health issues (she just recently was taken off her sleep apnea monitor because she is slowly but surely getting healthier) so money is very tight between doctors and tutors.
Bills are barely getting paid and I get shut off notices on a regular basis because we just can't catch up. I want to give them a nice Christmas but when faced with the decision to pay bills or get gifts I have to choose the bills. My oldest, ******** really likes the new show Monster High, and anything that has to do with it. I had hoped to get her a few of the dolls for her but they are $15 which is a stretch for me right now. My youngest has just started to show interest in things on her own and she has become very fond of Dora the Explorer, she says "Dora" all day long and her vocabulary only consists of about 15 words so it shows how much she adores her.
My wish is to get some gifts for my girls so they can be happy and so they can see that all the hard work mommy has done is paying off.
I cry myself to sleep almost every night while my husband works graveyard shift just to keep us afloat. A few people had pointed me in your direction and I appreciate you taking the time to hear me out.
Candace received a plethora of Dora and Monster High toys for her kids.
Dear Bianca's kids,
This year a really special boy needs your help. His name is Anthony. Anthony is a 4 year old boy. Who stole my heart 2 years ago when I met his father. The bond we have together is unbreakable & I love him so much. This year we really need help for Christmas to keep the spirit of Christmas alive. My love for this kiddo is so special. I love you Anthony & I hope your Christmas wishes come true!!
We've received Anthony's list and we've checked it twice! We ordered everything he wished for.
Dear Bianca's Kids,
I am a proud member of the teamsters union. My shop steward is one of the nicest, hardest-working guys I ever met. Brotherhood is not the word. He is always looking out for all of us union members. Recently, my shop steward's brother passed away from cancer. He was only in his 30s and left a wife with 3 small kids including a baby. My shop steward does all he can to support his sister-in-law and the kids including financially. I see this poor woman come by to pick up money from him for food, clothes etc for his niece/nephews. He would never refuse her anything as it was a promise he made to his dying brother. He works all day and then pics up the kids and watches them all night so his sister in law can go to her night job. My Christmas wish is for a little help for his niece/nephews. This poor man is trying to raise 2 families on his paycheck. Any help you can provide in the way of gifts for the kids so I can relieve him of some Christmas stress would be great.
Dear Mike, any man who will make this kind of sacrifice for kids deserves a little Christmas wish. A $200 gift card for his sister-in-law to shop for her kids for Christmas is being delivered to him today.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM BIANCA'S KIDS
I know a young lady who actually was a friend of Bianca. She is a single mom who would NEVER ask for help but so desperately needs it!!! She also happens to be a former foster child.
She works so hard to provide for herself & her baby with no help or support and never complains. She told me she is not celebrating the Christmas holiday this year due to financial struggles. My wish is for Bianca's Friend to receive a gift card so she too could experience the awesome feeling of Xmas shopping for her baby. She deserves it!
A $200 gift card was delivered to Bianca's friend so she could Christmas shop for her baby and enjoy her holiday.
