This year, thanks to all of our Bianca Kids supporters, each of us board members had the opportunity to grant a wish for someone in need. When our President Debbie informed me of this AWESOME BLESSING, I knew exactly who my wish would be for.
This young lady is someone that I have known for yrs and my heart broke when I found out the struggles she has been faced with lately. Jodee is an amazing person & mom. She was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Jocelyn. Jocelyn, a precious 2 yr old toddler, was recently diagnosed with Autism. Some parents would fall apart and say, why me? but not Jodee. She knows that she was gifted with a special child. Jodee is working a fulltime job form 8-5, then comes home, spends as much time with Jocelyn as she can, cooks dinner, takes care of her household deeds and is back out the door again to her 2nd job, cleaning houses. Her husband can only work nights because Jocelyn is very attached to both him and Jodee and will not stay with anyone else. I have witnessed firsthand the financial, emotional & physical strain that a special needs child has on parents. Yet, these two never complain.
Jodee is the mother of two children. Raising a child with autism is a constant challenge. There are endless nights, Dr bills, therapy sessions and the stress of ensuring she is providing BOTH of her children with the attention they need. Being a mom is work enough. Being a mom of a child with autism and holding down 2 jobs to try to make ends meat, well that's someone who simply deserves a Christmas wish.
My wish was to provide Jodee with a gift card that would allow her to purchase gifts for her two children & relieve her and her wonderful husband of the financial burden of Xmas.
Today, Jodee was presented with her granted wish.
God bless the parents of special needs children for no one is more deserving of granted wishes.
With Much Love, Maria & Bianca Kids xoxo
Dear Bianca's Kids,
I have a friend in need and someone pointed me to your page. I'm hoping maybe you can help me. My friend was a stay at home mom with 3 kids. Recently her husband lost his job and can't find work. she took a crappy paying job to try to help her family.
They are currently losing there house and to make matters worse her sister-in-law went off the deep end and she now has custody of her 3 nephews and her niece. So there is a total of 7 kids. They can't even afford food let alone Christmas. A couple of my friends and I have been helping with food but I am trying to find some help to help her kids have a Christmas. Children & Family Services said they would help with the 4 kids that are not hers but not her 3. If you guys could help at all even the littlest bit that would be amazing. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Stacey
Dear Stacey, this family needs and deserves a break. We will absolutely provide gifts for the kids!
Every time I see another family sponsored on your Facebook page it brings such a joy to my heart. I will never forget Bianca and how happy she made the children, including my own at Little Genius Academy and to see you continue her legacy is so touching. You have taken sorrow and turned it into purpose and drive to do what Bianca would have done.
I am currently a teacher at a school in Woodbury, New Jersey and am in need of sponsors for Christmas gifts for 13 of our neediest students. Although we have done all we could to obtain sponsors for all of the neediest children in our school, these 13 remaining students are without sponsors and I fear, will receive nothing for Christmas if I don't find one soon.
Any help you could offer would be so appreciated.
Crystal, your wish is granted! We received their xmas lists and will sponsor your 13 children. We have purchased everything on the list and delivery will be made to the school in the first week of December. Thanks for being an awesome teacher! Merry Christmas from Bianca's Kids.
