Here is the wish we received:
Dear Bianca's Kids,
My wish is for these two girls to please have a little burden taken off their mom. Their mother was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain that spread into her shoulder. She just had surgery and due to the cancer going into her shoulder bone, she has lost a percentage of usage in her arm. The girls’ mom is a hard worker for the Philadelphia Parking Authority. She has utilized all ...her sick days, vacation days and savings. Her chemo treatments start in two weeks. She is extremely overwhelmed with bills and the worry of her girls starting their school year with her not being physically there to get what they need. Their grandmother is taking care of them the best she can but has her own financial issues. Any help for these two amazing girls is appreciated.
Dear Tammie, our hearts go out to this mom and her two beautiful girls. We are granting your wish by sending a check to help relieve mom of the financial burden of back-to-school clothes and items for her daughters.
Here's the wish we received:
Dear Bianca's Kids,
Billy, Kailyn, and Madison lost their mom to cancer on July 5, 2016. The kids are 16, 12, and 10. They are such a wonderful family. Dad had to stop working to take care of his wife who was on hospice care at home and to take care of the kids.
This family is loved by so many people. I know financially he Dad has to be hurting bad. Poor Kailyn (12) went to her mom's funeral on her own birthday. With school getting ready to start and Christmas coming up quick, I would love to know that these kids don't suffer anymore than they already have. Their dad has the burden of trying to figure out how he is going to provide school supplies & christmas for his kids. I love what your organization does for kids and I've been compelled to reach out to you.
Thank you for everything you do,
Charlene, we are so happy you submitted your wish and even happier that we can grant it. We are sending dad a check for $500 to help him with school supplies and Christmas gifts for the children. We will continue to keep this beautiful family in our prayers.
We often get called upon by our local Division of Youth & Family Services (DYFS) for the needs of local foster children. Foster children are a main target for Bianca's Kids because Bianca had a passion for children who struggle with separation anxiety.
Today, we fulfilled one of those wishes. Back to school shopping can be a major expense for any family regardless of their income. But when your struggling at or just above poverty level, getting your children properly prepared for a new school year can be unaffordable. So, as we do every year, we relieved 100 local children/families of that financial burden by donating 100 backpacks and school supplies to the Camden and Gloucester County DYFS offices.
We would like to thank Kaplan JCC on the Palisades for their generous grant that helped us grant this wish.
Samantha loves sports. Not only does this beautiful little girl struggle with Type I diabetes, but she lost her mother at the young age of 7. A wish to came into our office for Samantha. The wish maker wanted us to bring some joy to this grieving child by making a sports wish come true for her. We granted that wish! Samantha is going to meet and spend the day with the Philadelphia Eagles on August 13, 2016. She was overjoyed at the news and we look forward to making this one day special for Samantha.
